ARTERY Technology visited the Zhudong Service Center of the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF) on December 6 to hold its “ESG Volunteer Day.” Company volunteers were divided into three groups—“Tutoring Group,” “Workshop Group,” and “Material Distribution Group”—to accompany children through diverse learning, creative, and interactive activities, bringing warmth and support to the community.

(1) Tutoring Group: Assisting Children with Math Tests + Educational Board Games
Tutoring volunteers provided support to help children complete their learning tasks and math tests. After finishing their schoolwork, volunteers played educational board games with the children, using playful interaction to stimulate logical thinking and create a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment.
(2) Workshop Group: Gingerbread House Craft Activity to Welcome the Christmas Season
With Christmas approaching, the Workshop Group designed a “Gingerbread House Art Activity.” Volunteers and children worked together to create their own festive pieces, spending a joyful morning filled with laughter and the sweet aroma of treats. During the activity, volunteers also helped organize the classroom and supported the children’s needs, offering warm and attentive companionship.
(3) Material Distribution Group: Supporting Daily Needs of Underprivileged Families
The Material Distribution Group was responsible for sorting and organizing daily necessities and assisting the center in distributing resources to underprivileged families. Through hands-on service, volunteers supported the center’s operations, ensuring that resources could efficiently reach the children who need them.
About the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF)
TFCF is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable children, youth, and their families. Through professional social work services, TFCF helps ensure that children receive proper care, a safe environment for healthy development, and access to education. The organization traces its origins to Dr. J. Calvitt Clarke’s relief efforts in 1937, began its work in Taiwan in 1950, and became an independent entity in 1985 under the name Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF). Guided by its principles of timely assistance, warm care, Christian love, and professional social work, TFCF continues to support disadvantaged children and families, helping them grow confidently in a stable and nurturing environment.
Fulfilling ESG Commitments Through Meaningful Action
