A new experience of connecting AT32 MCUs applications to USB HID

When it comes to traditional devices, we often think of mass of entangled electrical cables crammed into a limited space due to the fact that data transfer used to be generally dependent on USB cables linked to host. With the advancement of science and technology and the popularization of the Internet of Things ( IoT ) over the decades, a growing number of devices have gradually gone wireless.

ARTERY value line AT32F415 and wireless BLE AT32WB415 series are both based on 32-bit ARM®Cortex®-M4 core, and integrate a wide range of communication interfaces on a single chip system ( SoC ), including USB OTG, UART, SPI, I2C, SDIO, etc. Besides, the use of radio frequency ( RF ) transceiver make it possible to enable wireless data transmission through the USB HID interface without additional drivers, thus allowing users to quickly transfer data and maintain data integrity. Here we provide an application case of a blood pressure monitor based on AT32F415/AT32WB415 MCU and USB HID interface.

The AT32 MCU is the most cost-effective and accurate choice for blood pressure monitor applications. When measuring pulse rate, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, the pressure sensor on the blood pressure monitor is used to detect the current value and the strength of blood pressure signals. Here is a scenario for the application.

Feature of AT32F415/AT32WB415 series connecting USB HID:

1.ARM®Cortex®-M4 core, up to 150MHz CPU, 256KB Flash memory and 32KB SRAM, and a complete set of software development tools for system calibration, user data storage and update.
2.Rich interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, SDIO, USB OTG and CAN, radio frequency ( RF ) transceiver, and Bluetooth wireless transmission function ( applicable to AT32WB415 series solutions 2 ) to support intelligent applications.

Feature of Blood pressure monitor based on AT32F415/AT32WB415 series:

1.12-bit ADC and CMP, capabilities to recognize inflatable cuff and pulse wave signals and extract pulse signals; the signals passing a filtered circuit are converted via A/D converter and output to CPU without the intervention of other devices, thereby lowering development costs and time.
2.High-speed GPIO/SPI driving LCD display to ensure stable blood pressure reading status.
3.Support Bluetooth 2.4GHz, -97dBm of Rx sensitivity, -20dBm to +4dBm of Tx sensitivity, and a build-in antenna that covers up to 30m and transmit at up to 2Mbps, achieving low latency wireless transmission ( applicable to AT32WB415 series solution 2 ).
